VividSea vs Dive+
Dive+ is the best-known underwater app: a diving community with free one-tap color correction built in. VividSea is a dedicated underwater photo and video editor. If you mainly want to share and find dive buddies, Dive+ fits. If you mainly want control over how your photos and clips look, VividSea fits. Here is an honest look at both.
We make VividSea, so read this with that in mind. Dive+ details come from its App Store listing, checked on 4 November 2026.

Where Dive+ is stronger
- Community. A large, international network of divers, dive sites and posts. VividSea has none of this.
- Track record. It has been around for years and has thousands of ratings.
- Free video correction. Its one-tap correction covers video without paying.
Where VividSea is stronger
- Correction calculated per photo. Auto color reads each shot's own pixels, rebuilds the red channel and sets levels per channel, so green shallows and deep blue both come out natural. Then a look adds a finished style if you want one.
- Control. An Auto strength slider, 50+ looks with their own strength dial, depth-aware suggestions and a before/after view.
- A whole dive at once. Batch editing for up to 50 photos, each with its own correction (Pro).
- Privacy and files. No account and no uploads. Full-resolution saves keep the original date and location, and edits are grouped in a dive Logbook.
Which one should you pick?
- Pick Dive+ if you want a diving social network and free correction in one app.
- Pick VividSea if you want the best-looking result from your own photos and clips, more control and no account.
The quickest way to decide is to run the same photo through both. You can try VividSea's Auto color on any photo with the free browser tool, no install needed.
